Dr. Claudia Garcia Thibodeau, M.D., FRCPC (She/Her)
Dr. Claudia Garcia Thibodeau is a child and adolescent psychiatrist consulting to the Flourish team. Dr. Garcia Thibodeau specializes in assessing and treating children and youth with a variety of mental health concerns.
Dr. Garcia Thibodeau holds undergraduate degrees in kinesiology and psychology from the University of Regina, where she graduated with great distinction. Dr. Garcia Thibodeau earned her M.D. from the University of Saskatchewan and completed her Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Subspecialty at the University of Toronto. Her training included work at institutions such as SickKids Hospital, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, SickKids Centre for Community Mental Health, Michael Garron Hospital, Toronto Metropolitan University and Women’s College Hospital. She is also an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University.
Dr. Garcia Thibodeau enjoys working within a multidisciplinary team, having worked both in family health teams , psychology practices and at the Canadian Mental Health Association. Dr. Garcia Thibodeau is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to help children and their families thrive.
