Dr. Marina Heifetz, C.Psych. (She/Her)
Dr. Heifetz is a registered clinical psychologist providing assessment, consultation, and treatment to children, adolescents, and parents. She obtained her Doctorate Degree in Clinical-Developmental Psychology from York University and her post-doctorate research was at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. She has worked in a range of hospital and community mental health settings, and she also serves as a lecturer at York University. As a scientist-practitioner, her work is guided by evidence-based methods, which include cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and play therapy approaches. In providing a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space, Dr. Heifetz tailors her therapeutic modalities to each individual client to help them reach their goals and live in line with their values.
On a more personal note, Dr. Heifetz is a mother to three kids, who help her learn each day about the wonders of the world and the incredible (and challenging!) journey of life.
