Heesoo Choi (She/Her)

Heesoo Choi is a Specialized Honours Psychology student at York University, passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals and their families. She is currently involved in two research labs: one focused on promoting the well-being and development of children and adolescents with autism and intellectual disabilities and their families, and another where she is leading an independent project on psychological and cognitive strategies for children with ADHD.

At Flourish Health Services, Heesoo assists clinicians with psychological assessments and administrative tasks. She is deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with the compassionate and knowledgeable team at Flourish.
Earlier in her journey, Heesoo volunteered in South Korea, where she formed meaningful one-on-one relationships with children with intellectual disabilities. These experiences taught her that giving love is often a powerful way of receiving it.

Heesoo is especially driven to support children, adolescents, and young women, particularly those from immigrant backgrounds or with limited family or social support. Her goal is to foster resilience and well-being through inclusive and evidence-based care.

In her downtime, she enjoys staying active, spending time in nature, binge-watching anime, and relaxing under her weighted blanket.
