Dr. Holly Echlin, C.Psych. (Supervised Practice) (She/Her)
Dr. Holly Echlin is a registered clinical psychologist under supervised practice. Her graduate research examined the links between remote sub-concussive or mild traumatic brain injuries and indicators of accelerated brain aging, and she has presented and published her work in national and international conferences and published several articles in scientific journals.
Before joining Flourish Health Services, Holly provided assessment and therapy in diverse settings, including Toronto Western Hospital’s Tourette Syndrome Neurodevelopmental Clinic, the Hematology and Oncology program at the Hospital for Sick Children, the York University Psychology Clinic (YUPC), and the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships (CFIR). During her residency at the Kingston Internship Consortium, she worked across multiple programs—including the Dual Diagnosis Consultation Outreach Team (DDCOT), Dual Diagnosis Consulting Program (DDCP), Limestone District School Board (LDSB), and Community Brain Injury Service (CBIS)—supporting children, adolescents, and adults with a range of challenges. Her work included helping clients better understand themselves, resolve family or relationship conflicts, learn to better express their emotions, and celebrate neurodiversity, particularly among autistic youth and adults.
Holly provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and personal growth. Her approach is integrative and grounded in trauma- and attachment-informed, client-centred care. She draws on modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs.
Holly is passionate about helping clients understand the emotional patterns that shape their lives. While these patterns may have once served a purpose, they can become limiting and restrict our relationships and life choices. Understanding and addressing these patterns by developing new and adaptive strategies can lead to a more fulfilling life. Through thoughtful reflection and compassionate guidance, she supports clients in developing more adaptive ways of being. Holly strives to offer a warm, safe, and affirming space where clients feel truly seen and supported.
