Isabella Jamieson is a pediatric clinician who will be registering as a Clinical and School Psychologist under supervised practice in 2026. She recently completed her pre-doctoral residency in the School–Clinical Child track at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education within the Toronto Area Residency Consortium. In addition to her doctoral degree, Isabella holds a Certificate of Advanced Study (CAS) in School Psychology from Alfred University in New York, an APA-accredited program, as well as a Certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science from George Brown College.
Isabella’s doctoral research focused on COVID-19 learning loss and on increasing diversity within the field of psychology, with a particular focus on the recruitment and retention of racially and ethnically diverse students. She has presented this work at the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) conferences across the United States.
Isabella also works part-time for the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), where she conducts psychoeducational assessments, consults with teachers and service providers, and promotes student mental health. During her residency, she worked at the Child Development Institute, where she provided therapeutic services to youth in the Learning Disability and Mental Health (LDMH) program and co-facilitated the evidence-based Stop, Now and Plan (SNAP) program.
Isabella’s training and professional experiences have given her a comprehensive understanding of neurodevelopmental disabilities, learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, academic interventions, and school systems. She received specialized training in autism assessment at Alfred University’s Child and Family Service Centre and also worked as an Academic Consultant at Alfred’s Student Disability Services Office, where she supported a caseload of undergraduate students through executive functioning coaching and therapy, while also providing training in the use of various assistive technology tools. Isabella has also taught as an adjunct psychology professor at Alfred University, where she instructed courses in the Psychology of Measurement and School Consultation.
Isabella takes a collaborative approach to treatment planning, working closely with parents, educators, and other key stakeholders to ensure children’s unique needs are supported. Her therapeutic work integrates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, and Emotion-Focused Skills Training (EFST) with caregivers. Passionate about empowering children, she strives to make the assessment process a positive and affirming experience, helping children recognize their strengths, build resilience, and foster confidence as they work toward both academic and personal success.
In her spare time, Isabella enjoys travelling, cooking, and spending time in nature.
