Leah Monson, B.Sc., M.Psy. Candidate (She/Her)

Leah earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Concentrated Honours from Dalhousie University. With a strong background in psychology research, she has spent the last 14 years working with children, adolescents, and their families.

Leah's experience in special education spans from nursery to grade 12, where she has supported children with a wide range of emotional, physical, cognitive, and behavioural needs. Her time as a kindergarten teacher inspired her to start her own private tutoring business, where she continues to make a meaningful impact.

Leah believes that every child is unique, with their own set of skills and learning styles. Her approach to engaging children and adolescents is highly personalized, taking the time to understand each individual's interests. She emphasizes executive function training, direct instruction, skill-building, and confidence-building, incorporating elements of play and creativity into all aspects of growth and development.

Currently, Leah is pursuing her Master of Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School, aiming to become a Psychological Associate. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, parents, and families, striving to make the process as beneficial, enjoyable, and accessible as possible.

Outside of her professional life, Leah enjoys spending time in nature, practicing yoga, cooking, and cherishing moments with family and friends.
