Natalie Maccarone, M.A. (She/Her)
Natalie is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Psychometrist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario, an Advanced Diploma in Behavioural Science from George Brown College, and a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She provides psychotherapy to individuals facing a wide range of challenges, utilizing modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Natalie’s expertise spans working with children, adolescents, and adults managing physical and mental conditions, including autism, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and traumatic brain injuries. She previously served as a Behavioural Support Worker at Community Living North Halton, where she helped individuals with permanent learning and physical disabilities live fuller lives and integrate into the community. Her practicum focused on working with children with autism and other developmental delays,. These experiences have given Natalie a profound understanding of child and adolescent psychosocial development, as well as skills in managing challenging behaviours and motivating clients.
Natalie is highly skilled in conducting both formal and informal assessments, aiding clients in understanding their strengths and areas for improvement. She specializes in assessments for conditions such as autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities, ensuring that interventions and support are tailored to each individual’s needs. Natalie’s dedication to fostering understanding and empowerment through assessment and therapy highlights her commitment to enhancing the well-being of those she serves.
In her leisure time, Natalie enjoys playing tennis, spending time with her nieces, and exploring new cuisines.
