Nikki Barot, Hon. BSc., M.Sc., M.Psy Candidate (She/Her)

Nikki is currently pursuing her master’s in clinical psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School. She has been working in mental health for more than seven years and has gained experience in various clinical, educational, and hospital settings. She worked with varied populations ranging from 10 years old to 80+ years old.

Nikki gained her Hon. BSc. in Mental Health from the University of Toronto and MSc. in Clinical Neuropsychology from Bangor University. In addition, she has achieved certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Alder Graduate Professional School and in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy from DBT Centre of Vancouver.

Nikki uses a client-centred approach when working with individuals and leads with empathy while making sure that clients feel comfortable and safe. She strongly believes in and encourages individuality and thus molds herself as per the requirements of each individual while making sure the standardizations are not compromised. She makes an effort to make tasks fun, easy, and enjoyable.

Outside of being a functional adult during working hours, she enjoys spending time dancing, playing badminton, swimming, playing board games, and socializing with family and friends. During summer she is a total sun baby and takes advantage of the warm weather by taking long walks by the water or hiking.
