A Social Anxiety Group for Ages 9-12
Confident Connections is a supportive and collaborative social anxiety group specifically designed for children aged 9 to 12. This neuro-affirming program provides a safe environment where children can build confidence, develop social skills, and form meaningful connections. Our approach focuses on understanding social anxiety, building self-esteem, and equipping children with coping strategies to navigate social situations with ease.
Objectives:
Understand Social Anxiety: Gain insights into what social anxiety is and how it affects individuals.
Build Self-Esteem: Develop a positive self-image and confidence in social interactions.
Learn Coping Strategies: Acquire practical skills to manage anxiety and navigate social challenges.
Enhance Communication: Improve effective communication skills to express thoughts and feelings.
Practice Mindfulness and Relaxation: Utilize techniques to promote relaxation and reduce anxiety.
Develop Problem-Solving Skills: Enhance the ability to approach and solve social problems.
Foster Positive Thinking: Cultivate a positive mindset and outlook in social situations.
Encourage Teamwork and Cooperation: Participate in activities that promote collaboration and teamwork.
Set and Achieve Goals: Learn to set realistic goals and work towards them throughout the program.
